Diploma in Media Sciences (DMS) is a one-year, full-time diploma program offered under Al-Ghazali University. It is designed for regular students and is available only in the Spring intake, with a strong focus on preparing learners for the media industry through practical, career-oriented training.
The program is especially suitable for students from Dars-e-Nizami and Intermediate or equivalent backgrounds. It combines academic foundations with hands-on learning so students can build confidence in modern media, digital communication, and creative production.
DMS is structured to introduce students first to the foundational side of media studies and then to the applied, technical side of media production. This progression helps learners understand both the theory and practice of communication, journalism, and digital media.
The program is aimed at students who want to develop industry-relevant skills and work professionally in media-related fields after completing the diploma.
Applicants must have completed Dars-e-Nizami from a recognized Wifaq or Madrassa, and hold an Intermediate / Higher Secondary School Certificate (or equivalent qualification). Preference will be given to candidates with a Dars-e-Nizami background.
Teaching is delivered through lectures, presentations, practical lab sessions, workshops, and project-based learning. This approach helps students apply what they learn in real media environments and strengthens both creative and technical ability.
Assessment includes assignments, projects, mid-term examinations, final examinations, and practical completion in every semester. Students are expected to complete hands-on work as part of their academic progress.
These courses are arranged to move students from basic media concepts to practical technical skills in a structured and progressive way.
The fee structure is offered as per university policy, with scholarship and loan facility available as per university policy.
