Dr. Rasheed Ahmed is a distinguished scholar and educator renowned for his expertise in Islamic studies and academia. Holding a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from the University of Karachi, his research delves into Sharia standards for food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, reflecting his commitment to advancing knowledge in Islamic jurisprudence.
Dr. Ahmed’s educational journey began with a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies and Arabic from Jamia Dar Ul Uloom Karachi, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Karachi. He further honed his expertise through postgraduate studies in Shariah Law and a Mufti Course in Islamic Jurisprudence.
With over a decade of teaching experience, Dr. Ahmed has made significant contributions to academia, serving as a lecturer at prestigious institutions like Jamia tur Rasheed, Iqra University, and PAF-KIET. His dedication to education extends beyond conventional classrooms, as evidenced by his extensive involvement in conducting training programs and seminars on topics such as Hajj and Umrah, Islamic law, and halal certification.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Ahmed is actively engaged in public service and research. He has authored numerous research publications in esteemed national and international journals, covering a wide array of topics in Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary social issues. Dr. Ahmed’s expertise in Islamic finance and halal certification has led him to serve in key advisory roles for organizations such as Tata Food and many other companies.
